A letter from Sharon

To Our Dedicated Patrons;

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I joined the RSO Board of Directors two years ago because of my sincere desire to contribute to the continuation of this very fine Orchestra. This May took on the role of President of the Board. At this time, it is with great disappointment that I am not able to meet you in person at one of our concerts, due to COVID-19.

Because we greatly value your support for the RSO, we look forward to welcoming you back to our programs. As you know, in the interest of your wellness and safety, we have had to cancel our 2020 concerts. However, I am extremely optimistic that the RSO will bring back the music in a new and exciting way. In the interim we will bring you several virtual performances and education programs in order to “Keep the Music Alive”. Please check out our Facebook page, YouTube channel and website for all of the FREE content that we’ve just started to release. Also, we plan to offer a small live musical experience in December to celebrate the Holiday Season.

Your support is more important now than ever and is greatly appreciated by our Executive and Artistic directors, musicians, staff, and Board members. As most of you are aware, the cost of executing a concert and delivering our education programs is notable. As our ticket revenue has substantially decreased for the time being, we are relying on you to help the RSO sustain its legacy. Your financial support of donations, fundraiser participation and advertising assists in making our concerts and music education programs possible and accessible to all in the Racine community. To continue to provide these experiences, not only do we need your financial contributions, but also your avocation for the Orchestra to your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.

On behalf of myself and the Racine Symphony Orchestra, I thank you, our loyal patrons for your support. Help us “Keep the Music Alive” in the new season and beyond!

Sincerely,

Sharon Ramquist
President, Board of Directors
