2026 Young Artist Competition Application
The Racine Symphony Orchestra invites Racine County students in grades 9–12 studying orchestral instruments or piano to participate in its 2026 Young Artist Competition. The first-place winner will perform with the RSO at the Spring Masterworks Concert on April 18, 2026. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists.
The Young Artists Competition is a decades-long running program designed to highlight the most advanced, young classically-trained musicians in Racine County. Adjudicated by regional professional musicians, the winner of the competition is featured in a concerto performance during a concert in the 2025-26 season. The most recent winners were Faith Weigand (2025), Magdalena Masur (2024), Lydia Morency (2023), Ashely Springer (2022) and Nolan Boerner (2021). The Competition is open and free to the public.
