Music Is Essential

Dear RSO Patrons

We hope that this message finds you well.

During this time of great uncertainty, we wanted to let you know that the Racine Symphony Orchestra is still here and working to fulfill our mission to enrich, educate and entertain our community through the power of music.

Concert Schedule

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency, the Racine Symphony Board of Directors has decided to make significant changes to our remaining 2020-21 Season.  The Lakeside Pops Concerts scheduled for August 28 and December 4 have been canceled and the November 7 Masterworks Concert has been postponed until early 2021.

This decision was not easy and was not undertaken lightly.  As much as we value our live performances, especially the community favorite Holiday Pops Concert, the safety of our audience, performers and staff remains our number one priority.  We share your disappointment and will miss seeing you in our audience as we had originally planned.

If you purchased tickets for these events, our staff will contact you regarding converting your purchase to a donation or processing a refund.  We ask your patience during this time as we work through this process.

How We’re Bringing Music to You

Please know that even though live performances are not possible in the current situation, we are working on ways to serve our community through the power of music.  We continue to post videos of past performances on our social media channels and are also creating new content for your enjoyment. The first of these projects will be released to the public in early to mid-July and we have several others planned for the fall and winter.

We miss you all, and we are looking forward to being on stage again and enjoying the music together. All of us here at the RSO appreciate your understanding while we work through these difficult times.

Existing Tickets

Please consider converting your existing ticket purchase to a donation to the RSO. Or, if you have not yet purchased a ticket to a concert, consider contributing the price of a ticket(s) to the RSO. This will help us continue our mission to enrich, educate, and entertain our community through the power of music.

Even though we cannot practice our mission in person, we remain committed to bringing music to you, and are working on ways to bring live music back to the stage once the public health threat has passed. Your financial support will help us continue to make that happen. We have monthly giving and directed donation options available and are happy to help you find the best option for YOU.

Questions or Concerns

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We would love to talk to you! Email beth@racinesymphony.org or call 262-636-9285.  Please note our office hours are currently reduced and allow us extra time to return your call.

The music will go on. Together we – patrons, musicians, staff and the entire Racine community – will make that happen.  Music is essential!!!

Sincerely,

Beth Bender, Executive Director
